Indiana Solar Net Metering: From Bad to Worse

A recently published article by Energy News Network dove deep into the standards surrounding Indiana Solar Net-Metering, and how things just keep getting worse. New changes are being brought in by investor-owned utilities, causing an even larger challenge for solar energy in Indiana.

“All five of Indiana’s investor-owned utilities have won approval to not only slash the rate paid for customers’ surplus solar power, but also change how solar output is calculated in a way that drastically reduces the payments.”

With solar energy being pushed out by a combination of legislation and utilities, now is the time to push for more change in Indiana regulations surrounding renewable energy.
